"I advise you to throw out your grammar checker"
We're always happy to hear from STC Arts alumni, especially when they write things like this, from Nick Rosencrans, '06: I'm plugged into the STC Arts RSS feed, but I haven't seen much activity lately. Feel free to tell the team members that alums do check in on things :-)

Nick and others may be interested to know that The Chicago Manual of Style is now online and has a free 30-day trial subscription.
Editors tend to like the CMOS for its insights into style and editing, but there's also this gem from its popular Chicago Style Q&A:
Q. When I grammar-checked the following sentence: “Please note that this account is not registered to you, as the Tax Identification Number on the account and your Social Security Number are not an exact match,” the grammar check indicated that the sentence should read “is not an exact match.” Please advise.
A. I advise you to throw out your grammar checker.
